What is StickerHunt?

StickerHunt is a free app that turns stickers into a real-world hunt, like geocaching for sticker art. Artists and brands publish their designs and pin the spots where they stuck them; their community goes out to find them and checks in with a photo.

How does sticker hunting work?

Open a community's map, pick a pinned sticker, and go find it. Once you're within 150 m of the pin, take a photo of the sticker to check in. Your find shows up in the community feed and earns points on its leaderboard.

Is StickerHunt like geocaching?

Yes, with stickers instead of hidden containers. There's nothing to hide or sign: the sticker is the cache, out in plain sight, and a photo taken on the spot is your log entry.

How do points and badges work?

Every find earns 10 points, and the first person to find a placement gets 25 more. Placing a sticker earns 5. Points are tallied per community, so each one has its own leaderboard, and badges mark milestones like your first hunt or your fiftieth.

Who can start a community?

Anyone with sticker art: an independent artist, a crew, a band, a shop, or a brand. Start a community around one design or a whole pack, upload the artwork, and invite people to place it and hunt it.

Is StickerHunt free? Is it on iPhone?

StickerHunt is free. It's on Google Play for Android now, and the iPhone app is coming soon to the App Store. You sign in with Apple or Google.

Does StickerHunt track my location?

Only while you use the app, and only to check you're near a sticker when you check in. We store the coordinates of your check-in and strip the GPS data embedded in every photo you upload.
